Billerica, MA– December 17, 2007 – IBRIX® Inc., the leader in scalable file serving solutions, today announced that Symplicity, a provider of software and Web-based portals that streamline job recruiting operations, has selected IBRIX Fusion™ to speed data throughput and simplify file management for its nearly 400+ hosted customer systems. IBRIX’s software-based file system enables Symplicity to rapidly and reliably scale their data storage infrastructure to support peak recruitment periods that require increased bandwidth and throughput performance. As a result, Symplicity is able to expand its customer base while confidently meeting Service Level Agreements.
Through its Career Services Management System™ (CSM), Symplicity offers an integrated solution for managing job postings and scheduling interviews for its roster of education, government and commercial customers. Accessing career information online and in real-time is critical for the recruiters, graduating students and potential employers that rely on CSM. Each September, as campus recruiting activities heat up, Symplicity fields as much as a five-fold increase in data requests to service millions of daily Web views. To meet their evolving business requirements, Symplicity needed to streamline its IT infrastructure and address mounting performance and instability problems caused by a legacy Network File System that taxed network resources with costly and unplanned outages.

Symplicity deployed the IBRIX Fusion file system on Dell™ PowerEdge™ 1950 servers managing 10 terabytes of EMC® CLARiiON® CX3-20 storage. The solution services 60 client nodes within Symplicity’s existing SAN environment. The joint solution allows Symplicity to fully utilize its existing hardware and perform upgrades with minimal or no downtime. Symplicity is able to perform full data backups in half the time of its previous solution, ensuring data integrity and high availability.
