CTO Staff Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a CTO Staff Position to become a member of the CTO Staff at IBRIX will be primarily engaged in Advanced Development (AD) activities.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Individual will be responsible for tracking the industry for technology trends with a 9-18 month horizon and beyond.
Investigate technical aspects of selected technologies, products, and standards on relevance to, fit with and risk to IBRIX products.
Conduct gap analysis for IBRIX products.
Conduct prototyping and/or "skunk works" activities as needed for the above investigations.
Assist in building the business case for those items deemed for adoption into the IBRIX product roadmap.
Assist in transitioning prototypes into product engineering.
Support technical marketing activities of the company; such as writing technical papers, participating in industry bodies to develop "mind share" for IBRIX, training sales organization.
Support sales efforts as needed by being the credible "deep dive".
Act as a technical resource with to customers and potential customers.

Job Qualifications:

BS/MS in Computer Science; Ph.D. preferred in either CS or EE.
Individual must have 5+ years experience in a product team building products in the file system, storage and operating system space.
Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills and be a creative thinker.
Must have excellent "influencing" skills.
Must have excellent communications skills - oral, written and presentation.
Direct experience working on a CTO staff is a plus.
