IBRIX Fusion Scalable File Serving Solutions

IBRIX Fusion is a fully-integrated, enterprise-class scalable file serving solution suite comprised of a highly scalable POSIX compliant parallel file system, scalable volume manager, high-availability features and a comprehensive management interface that includes a graphical user interface and a command-line interface.

IBRIX Fusion enables customers to:

  • Build file systems that can scale from tens of terabytes to tens of petabytes of capacity in a single namespace
  • Provide tens of GB/sec of bandwidth and millions of IOPS/sec of aggregate I/O throughput performance
  • Scale capacity and bandwidth independently and non-disruptively

IBRIX Fusion scalable file serving solutions are hardware, network, and protocol independent, can be deployed on industry standard servers and exported over NFS, CIFS, or other industry standard protocols.

Based on a patented, Segmented File System architecture, IBRIX Fusion enables enterprises to pull together their I/O and storage systems into a single clustered environment that is multipurpose and sharable across a multitude of applications, and to manage that environment through a centralized interface.


IBRIX Fusion Software Suite



IBRIX FusionFS  A multi-purpose, scalable parallel file system that is equally efficient across a variety of I/O sizes and access patterns with full support for multi-node byte-range locking. IBRIX FusionFS delivers linear scalability on I/O throughput from a single file system, single directory or even a single file. The file system supports online file system expansion and the integrated Scalable Volume Manager allows full flexibility in deploying and configuring a common storage pool and single namespace using any combination of SAN-attached or direct-attached storage. IBRIX FusionFS can be accessed from client computers using standard NFS and CIFS protocols, as well as the IBRIX FusionClient - an intelligent driver that delivers higher write performance, tighter consistency and balanced resource utilization. IBRIX FusionClient is supported on a variety of Windows operating systems, Linux kernels and distributions without any modifications to the kernel.

IBRIX FusionHA   A complete High Availability clustering solution with component-level and active-active, server to server failover combined with Dynamic Load Balancing features. IBRIX FusionHA provides the full capability to monitor a variety of hardware and software elements, detect failures and automatically transfer control to another component or server without loss of service. The Dynamic Load Balancing component allows system administrators to dynamically re-provision servers and storage within a single file system based upon imbalances in access patterns to achieve uniform loading and improved aggregate performance.

IBRIX FusionManager  A comprehensive, intuitive and easy-to-use interface for administering and monitoring IBRIX Fusion clusters and file systems. IBRIX FusionManager includes a full-featured, web-based Graphical User Interface and a powerful script-friendly Command Line Interface, both with complete online documentation.

IBRIX FusionSnap  IBRIX Fusion provides a global snapshot capability for its filesystem. IBRIX FusionSnap can be used to recover files from accidental deletes and for enabling backups. The process of generating snapshot is instantaneous and the snapshot can be used immediately.

IBRIX FusionFileReplication  With IBRIX Fusion file replication, customers can create replicas of an individual file. Replicas are self-healing and Fusion file allocation policies ensure that the replicas are distributed across the cluster to avoid replicas from being on the same physical underlying components.
