IBRIX Modular Performance Solutions
IBRIX Fusion Modular Performance Solutions allow affordable performance scaling and provide the benefits of application performance improvement and content manageability in an easy to implement, pay as you grow configuration. These Modular Performance Solutions are made up of "Performance Modules" which are comprised of an active-active pair of high availability IBRIX Fusion Gateway Servers directly attached to the fastest performing SAS or FC storage.
IBRIX Fusion Modular Performance solutions can be "scaled up" by adding memory, processors or capacity to each Performance Module or "scaled out" by provisioning additional Performance Modules. You can start with one Performance Module that can scale up to deliver 100s of MB/sec of performance and terabytes of capacity and can then scale out as needed with additional Performance Modules to scale I/O performance linearly to 10's of GB's per second while being able to scale to Petabytes of capacity as well. The Performance Modules are provisioned on line thus allowing you to boost performance and capacity on-demand without disrupting the application.
The entire configuration is presented as a single name space to the applications and is accessible over standard protocols such as NFS or CIFS or the proprietary IBRIX Client protocol.
As shown below, you can also boost performance independently of capacity by adding
IBRIX Fusion Gateway servers alone to the configuration.
IBRIX Fusion Flexible High Performance Solutions
For applications demanding very high performance or for those enterprises that have or need the flexibility of a Network Fabric Storage Infrastructure the IBRIX Fusion Flexible High Performance Solution forms the foundation for maximizing application performance and simplifying management in enterprise class environments.
By deploying IBRIX Fusion Gateway servers in between the applications servers and the storage network, you have the ability to scale I/O performance to 10's of GB's per second and capacity to Petabytes, independently and non disruptively. You can start with a minimum of two active-active IBRIX Fusion Gateway servers and add any number of servers as needed to achieve the required performance for your application.
The ability to "scale up" the Gateway servers (add more memory and processors) and "scale out" by adding any number of Gateway servers combined with the flexibility, availability, security and high performance of SAN storage makes this an ideal solution for the most demanding enterprise environments.

IBRIX Fusion Grid Performance Solutions
Optimized for customers who have grid based analytical applications that are mostly coarse grained, embarrassingly parallel, IBRIX Fusion Grid Performance solutions deliver orders of magnitude improvements in application performance than that is previously achievable with other architectures. Each compute node or application server in the grid leverages the IBRIX Fusion parallel file system to create a single name space file system from the embedded storage in each of the application server. By eliminating networked storage and bringing the computation closer to the data, applications achieve dramatic improvements in performance while lowering the cost significantly,
improving the manageability, and still providing high availability.
IBRIX Fusion Modular Bulk Storage Solutions
IBRIX Fusion Modular Bulk Storage solutions give you the ability to scale capacity using low cost storage while providing scalable performance and comprehensive single namespace management of large content repositories or archives. These solutions drive down the cost and complexity of applications that require large amounts of capacity but do not require high performance. Solutions can start small and expand to Petabytes of data over time. A Bulk Storage module is comprised of an IBRIX Gateway Server directly attached to low cost storage. In addition to hardware based RAID data protection, IBRIX Fusion Modular Bulk Storage solution also allows optional mirroring of data between modules to provide the highest levels of data protection and availability evenwhile using low cost storage.
The IBRIX Fusion Bulk Storage modules may be added as needed online and non- disruptively to scale capacity to Petabytes while providing scalable performance to your large content and archival applications.
